Z3 Touchscreen issues

I have this hand me down Tige 2021 Z3 and the screen ahs been acting all funny since the beginning of the year, I been waving it off but I want to focus on it now before I would get the leisure to do it again, sometimes the screen is slow to respond and sometimes certain controls like ballast fill or volume will lag or freeze completely, a full power cycle helps occasionally...until it doesn't, could this be a firmware issue or what, my first thought was to try to get a software update from the dealer but I've checked and getting to the nearest service center is a hassle
Or....if anyone has a good DIY solution, I'm very much open to it

Firmware glitch for me, definitely. If a power cycle only helps for a bit, a software update should be your first hit. See if you can update it yourself via USB or an app. Sometimes a factory reset can help too if updates aren't available.

My brother ran into a similar problem with his 2020 Tige Z3,he experienced screen lag and unresponsive controls. It turned out to be a glitch in the firmware. He was able to do a DIY update using a USB drive, which resolved most of the issues. If you can't easily get to a dealer, trying a manual update or a factory reset is a great first step.

That manual upgrade solves 99% of problems, but there's a risk as some people have bricked their systems. With boats aside, my neighbor did the same with Honda. Head over to Tige's website and see if there's a dealer in your area and try that first.
