Wake cleaner

I came across a simple device few months back, it's made from rigid 3/4" horse stall mat mounted vertically and presses against waves to clean the wake, it is shaped to fit the transom and to my surprise, it works pretty well, has anyone tried something like this?

I think using rigid vertical mats for wake cleaning is a clever approach. While I haven't experimented with it yet, I've seen that similar devices mounted on transoms can effectively reduce wake energy and enhance the overall water conditions.

I've seen a few homemade versions of those over the years. It's surprising how effective a simple piece of rubber can be at cleaning up the wake. Sometimes the low-tech solutions work just as well as the expensive aftermarket options.
