Planning on doing my own service this year on my 2012 Tige' Z3 with a PCM EX343 and I just wanna make sure I have the appropriate parts. I plan to use Mobil 1 full synthetic 15W-40, will that work for this engine? Here's the list I've gathered btw...

Oil filter R077001
impeller kit RP061022
FCC fuel filter RP080026
inline fuel filter R080024A,
spare serpentine belt R066028

I think you already know what to do and you're on the right track. Mobil 1 15W-40 should do just fine for that PCM 343. Good job about the parts list too, but maybe you gotta double-check the impeller size since PCM changed them a bit over the years. Not sure though. Good luck wrenching. :)

I've worked on a similar PCM EX343 in the past, and I can say that Mobil 1 15W-40 is a fantastic option,it really delivered for me. I've also picked up the habit of double-checking the impeller sizes because PCM has changed them a few times over the years. Aside from that, your parts list seems really solid. Best of luck with the service!

Using Mobil 1 full synthetic 15W-40 in your PCM EX343 might work, but it's a bit like feeding a performance athlete fast food, sure it keeps them going, but it's not what the engine was designed to thrive on. Stick to what the manual recommends.
